Gov Masari appoints Uche Okonkwo as special assistant on Christian matters

Katsina state Governor Aminu Masari has appointed Imo state-born Prince Uche Okonkwo as a special assistant.

Okonkwo was appointed as the special assistant to the governor on Christian indigenous Nigerians residing in Katsina state.

The appointee is expected to be the link between Governor Masari and Christian indigenous Nigerians residing in the northwest state.

Okonkwo’s appointment is generally seen as an effort by the Masari administration to initiate an inclusive government.

The appointment was contained in a letter signed by the secretary to the Katsina state government, Mustapha Muhammadu Inuwa.

The governor also approved the appointments of Aliyu Abdullahi and Sani Mansir as special assistants on media.

Masari also approved the upgrading of the appointment of Alhaji Sabo Musa from special assistant to senior special assistant on restoration programme.
